Exciting news from the LinkedIn team today announcing not one but two AI-powered features on their way to Sales Navigator.
You can check out their news release on it here!
As someone who spends a lot of time working on helping clients find their ideal leads on LinkedIn, the big news comes with the conversational search feature (“AI-assisted search”) announcement.
Like all things this will come down to execution, but the value proposition is clear that it should lead to more refined search results that are less rigid than the current options.
One would imagine that your conversational query or text will feed into their existing filters, so I’m sure it will be far from perfect. But an improvement nonetheless.
Like all things AI these days, an expectation of perfection out of the gate is the wrong way to look at it from my viewpoint. But for those trying to find an audience that might be more difficult to communicate than by standard filters, this might be a roadmap to getting an initial draft search sooner that you can then refine and improve from there.
I’d expect some level of simplification or speed in the searching process as a result at a minimum. But again like all things, we’ll see!
Their Account IQ feature may have some benefits as well to pull in account details for your connections, but in practicality that one is hard to judge thus far. My initial take is that the search function will be more applicable and accurate at the early stages and is what I’m most excited about.
They haven’t given a specific release date and in the past they tend to roll these types of changes out in waves, but they are expecting it to be widely available in the next few months.
